The InterCOM – module replaces the 3-pin XLR copper cable, usually used with analog intercom systems between two analog intercom devices. Control signals as well as bidirectional audio signals are converted by the InterCOM – module into an Ethernet compatible signal, which is transmitted via network to the corresponding InterCOM – module.
The InterCOM – module has a built-in power supply unit. For this the InterCOM – module is able to support up to four intercom beltpacks without the need for an intercom master station.
Within a network two InterCOM – modules are working as a point to point connection for creating a partyline. If you need to build more than one intercom line, the system is cascadable by using an appropriate number of InterCOM – modules and, depending on your needs, an intercom master station.
